“Storytelling is magic. It transforms life into legend, and strangers into kindred spirits.”
THE OLD NORTH STATE STORYTELLING FESTIVAL @ THE CARY THEATER
122 East Chatham Street, Cary, NC
Friday and Saturday
November 7 - 8, 2025
Join us for our two-day Festival to experience the power of live storytelling.
Acclaimed storytellers will present hours of stories and music to entertain and warm your heart.
Four Showcase performances over Friday and Saturday
ALL tellers perform DIFFERENT stories for EACH Showcase
SHOWCASE #1 - Friday, 11/7, 7:30 to 8:30pm
SENSORY FRIENDLY SHOWCASE - Saturday, 11/8, 10:00am to 12:00pm
SHOWCASE #2 - Saturday, 11/8, 1:30 to 3:30pm
SHOWCASE #3 - Saturday, 11/8, 7 to 9pm
NOTE: The SENSORY FRIENDLY SHOWCASE is offered in conjunction with the Specialized Recreation & Inclusion Services - Town of Cary.
Sensory Friendly: We will only fill 75 seats for this performance, giving more space and less stimulation. The performance will also feature low lighting instead of a fully darkened theater, slightly lower volumes, and an area for folks to take a break and move while the performance is broadcast on a TV. This showcase is wiggle and movement-friendly, and we don’t expect silence from the audience.
All performances are family-friendly
